Really handy to be able to run featured images (as well as images in general) from a URL. Plugin works really well, the only minor issue I had was solved by the plugin author in under an hour. Impressed!

If your website is going to have lots of blog posts, pages and products, then to store FEATURED IMAGE in the Media Library can consume lots of space + slow down the website. (Remember, each image is converted to many sizes for thumbnail, etc).
